LED PROXIMITY
Distance from the LED affects light absorption, but do not be misled by erroneous statements that one needs to be close enough to touch the LEDs. Do light beds need to be FDA approved or cleared?
No. The FDA approves drugs and class 3 medical devices. If a product has an FDA "clearance," it means the device can verifiably cause a change in form or function within the body. Example: decreases fat or reduces pain. These are medical claims and must be proven. Bed makers are not required to get a clearance, but they cannot make a specific claim without one.
LIFETIME LEDs
TheraLight 360 HD PRO Light Bed utilizes 100,000-hour German LEDs under warranty for life. That's right. You're covered for life if any LEDs go out.
Note: 100K hour LEDs are the max lifespan in the industry. Claims of higher lifespans are unproven.
